About the family
Fruit growing is the passion of the Pfotenhauer family from the Bad Berka cidery in Tiefengruben: The preservation and processing of old apple varieties in particular is traditionally part of the family and the village of Tiefengruben. Here they cultivate and preserve them in the lush orchards and meadows. On their own land of about 1 ha more than 100 old fruit varieties thrive. The Pfotenhauer family has been working the land for more than 100 years.
