Kaltohmfeld
Kaltohmfeld
Kaltohmfeld, first mentioned in 1418, is the smallest district of the town and with its location 500 meters above sea level the highest settlement in Eichsfeld. Its Protestant church was not built until 1588, after the settlers' farms had been established, and therefore stands on the edge of the village center. Kaltohmfeld is a destination for hikers and horse lovers and offers unique views from its hills to the Brocken and Thuringian Forest. In winter, 60 km of trails for cross-country skiers are groomed here.
