Light enters the nave through Gothic lancet windows. The choir window dates from 1948 and shows Christ stepping boldly out of the tomb. The modern redesign took place in the mid-1960s. The functional interior gives plenty of space to the Romanesque baptismal font and the late Gothic crucifix above the altar.

The old furnishings bear witness to the permanence of religious life despite the change from hospital church to parish and garrison church and back to parish church. The church interior can only convey a sense of continuity because it is regularly filled with Christian life. The reliable repetition of the church service offers people security in a constantly changing world.
