Antje Reinhardt Ceramics
Shaping objects - whether for everyday use or as art objects - is simply part of who we are. With just a little clay, we can create a variety of shapes with almost no limits. At the same time, every handcrafted product contains physical work, physical energy, which transforms a lump of earth into what it is ultimately attributed with meaning. Antje Reinhardt ceramics are highly suitable for everyday use in terms of function and processing. They are even suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher. But these are just the hard facts. First and foremost, the heavy cups, plates, jugs, bowls and jugs are an asset to any kitchen cupboard. The predominant color of most pieces is a deep grey with irregular speckles - almost reminiscent of rain-drenched clouds or a wintry seaside atmosphere. In contrast, there are light-colored plate rims or cup interiors, stripes or animal motifs with a light background. The graduate designer shows a completely different side in the Wildbrett collection, which she designed together with Jens Pfotenhauer, Grit Wolf and Alexander Bernhardt. The clear, modern, Scandinavian-style design of the ceramic boards is clearly based on gleaming white, flawless porcelain. After the second firing, various graphics are printed on using a screen printing process: colorful monochrome animals, patterns, lines, ornaments - simple variety. Antje Reinhardt's workshop is open to all interested parties. However, you should make an appointment in advance. A special tip is to visit the "Open Pottery Day", which takes place every year in mid-March and in which Antje Reinhardt regularly participates.
