The historic tithe barn in Münnerstadt has housed the town archive on the second floor for many years.

The holdings of the city archive:

• Extensive collections of newspaper cuttings, photos, posters, slides etc.

• Special highlight: the only complete newspaper volume series of the former "Münnerstädter Volkszeitung" from 1884 to 1932

• Archive records of the incorporated districts of Althausen, Brünn, Burghausen, Fridritt, Großwenkheim, Kleinwenkheim, Reichenbach, Seubrigshausen, Wermerichshausen and Windheim

• an extensive library of local literature

• Documents from the 14th century onwards

• Official records and council minutes

• Municipal administration files

• Invoices from the hospital foundation, among others

The archive is open from Monday to Friday from 10:00 - 12:00 and by appointment.

Access to the archive is not barrier-free.
