THE MUSEUM

The Museum Automobile Welt Eisenach is more than just a technology museum. Cars have been built in Eisenach for over 120 years. This makes the museum a reflection of German automotive history. Here you can trace the long history of vehicle production from classic DIXI, BMW, EMW and WARTBURG automobiles to today's OPEL in a contemporary context. The museum's attractions also include a wide range of historic motorsport and rally vehicles, as well as unbuilt prototypes, bodywork studies and a historic Dixi workshop. Annually changing special exhibitions offer new insights into the history of the automobile.
