Johann Sebastian Bach's parents lived in the first three buildings on Junkersand. In addition to the Kaufmannskirche, where his parents were married, the so-called Bach houses are considered an important historical place of remembrance due to their cultural and historical significance. Incidentally, the composer Johann Pachelbel also lived here from 1678 to 1690.
