Bad Kissingen
Bad Kissingen
Bad Kissingen is centrally located in Germany, in the valley of the Franconian Saale, on the southeastern edge of the Rhön Mountains and, as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the best-known spa towns. The city stands for culture, health and tourism.
At the beginning of the 19th century, the Bavarian kings became aware of the town, its healing springs and the resulting potential as a spa.
Numerous historical buildings such as the Regentenbau, Arkadenbau, Wandelhalle, Kurtheater, Spielbank and Gradierwerk adorn the image of this city. In the Regentenbau is the Max Littman Hall, one of the best concert halls in the world. Greats such as Lang Lang or David Garrett have already ensured sold-out seats here.
Thousands of visitors are drawn to Bad Kissingen every year for events such as the Kissinger Sommer, Kissinger Winterzauber, Rakoczy-Fest or Kabarettherbst.
On more than 1000 m², water presents itself in its most pleasant forms in the well-known KissSalis Therme. The possibilities in the sauna park of the Therme are manifold.
In Bad Kissingen there is the only stagecoach that still runs regularly. This ride is a real experience.
In the arcade building is the tourist information of the city. Here all your questions about the city will be answered. Furthermore, tickets for events can be purchased here.
Bad Kissingen is always worth a trip.
