History
The first freight train to use the Ebenhausen - Meiningen line to test its stability passed Münnerstadt station on November 20, 1874. This train consisted of two locomotives and a freight wagon.
On December 10, 1874 at 9:15 a.m., the first passenger train with two locomotives and 45 wagons stopped in Münnerstadt.
The Ebenhausen - Meiningen railroad line was officially opened on December 15, 1874, with three daily trains running in both directions.
