Peasants' War Museum Kornmarktkirche
Peasants' War Museum Kornmarktkirche
The former Franciscan monastery church „St. Crucis“ is one of the most important preserved mendicant churches in Germany. It has been used as a museum as well as a concert and conference venue since 1975. A permanent exhibition provides information about the period of the early Reformation and the Peasants' War. Another exhibition focuses on the eventful building history of the former church. Outside, a monastery garden laid out according to medieval models and a lapidarium with parts of historical buildings invite visitors to linger.
The Kornmarktkirche is closed from 01.11.2023.
