The building at Buchaer Straße 1 can look back on a long history, which makes it the perfect place to store and present testimonies from Könitz's past.

In 1498, this site was the seat of the Knight of Beulwitz. The Könitz local history museum has been located here since 1995 after several changes of ownership. The listed building was completely renovated and restored between 2006 and 2011.
