The mining lodge "Veilchenbrunnen" in the middle of the beautiful Thuringian Forest between the winter sports resort Oberhof and Zella-Mehlis was built in the 60s. After a four-year break, the popular destination was reopened in October 2020 under new management for hikers, mountain bikers, snow tourers and cross-country skiers.
