The Sennhütte is situated in a unique, secluded location in the middle of the nature park. Originating from a young cattle pasture with a shelter, the „Sennhütte“ is now a mountain inn and hotel with a modern, stylish design. Stone and wood-decorated walls in the guest rooms create a warm, homely atmosphere. From the large windows and the guest garden, the view sweeps across lush green meadows to the Rhön mountain panorama and the Thuringian Forest.

The team in the excellent Slow food cuisine surprises with seasonal Rhön fresh cuisine at a high level in the cozy restaurant or in the romantic beer garden. The hay soup from the „Sennhüttenwiese“ and lamb sausages on creamed savoy cabbage with organic Rhön potatoes are popular.
