Bismarck Monument
Bismarck Monument
Probably Bad Kissingen's most famous spa guest from the late 19th century is the former Imperial Chancellor Otto Prince von Bismarck. He came to Bad Kissingen a total of 15 times for spa stays and liked to refer to the town as his "second home". The Bismarck monument at the Lower Salt Works was erected in his honor as early as 1877. At the time, it was the first statue of Bismarck in the world, and also the first statue of a Prussian in Bavaria!
You can reach the Bismarck Monument after a relaxing walk out of Bad Kissingen town center at the northern end of the Salinenpromenade.
