Built around 1840 and partially reconstructed, the mill is the only trestle windmill in the Wartburg district and offers a beautiful photo motif against the backdrop of the Thuringian Forest mountain range. It is a resting place and starting point for various hikes in the surrounding area. Every year on Whit Monday on German Mill Day, it opens its doors and you can get a clear explanation of how the old mill works. Group and individual tours are possible by appointment.
