The small mountain village of Böhlen is located on a hill in the Schwarzatal valley. Blooming mountain meadows, a pleasant summer climate and a sunny fall offer good recreational conditions. The easy, well-marked circular hiking trails are unspoilt and therefore a particular delight for guests who appreciate Böhlen's quiet and central location. Böhlen is located not far from the Rennsteig trail, on the southern slope of the "Lange Berg", in the middle of the "Thuringian herb garden".
