Borlach Museum
Borlach Museum
The museum in the Borlachturm houses a small exhibition on the salt boiling industry and the development of Bad Dürrenberg into a bathing resort. On display are original tools such as salt crutches, boiling baskets or salt shovels, which bear witness to the hard work of the salt boilers. The exhibition also honors the achievements of the mining councilor Johann Gottfried Borlach, who succeeded in breaking through the brine in Bad Dürrenberg in 1763.
