Breitenworbis is a municipality in the Eichsfeld district of Thuringia. Breitenworbis is the seat of the administrative community Eichsfeld-Wipperaue. The Rhin, a left tributary of the Wipper, flows through the community. The landscape is characterized by the wooded mountain ranges of the Ohmgebirge, the Harburg and the Hubenberg. Not far from the village is the deserted village of Hugenworbis.
