The village of Burgwalde is located near the Rusteberg. From the village, a Way of the Cross leads up to a small hill surrounded by a group of spruce trees. Amidst the trees stands a small chapel built of red sandstone and dedicated to St. Boniface. It is still a very popular place of pilgrimage today.
