Citizen school fountain Weimar
Citizen school fountain Weimar
The neoclassical fountain column is adorned with a boy reading in a golden robe. A rosette forms the outflow above a lush green fountain column that tapers upwards. The ensemble is flanked by two hawthorn trees. In 1857, it was decided to replace the wooden fountain in front of today's music school with a more representative structure. When the school opened, a pump fountain initially adorned the forecourt. In 1858, it was replaced by the cast-iron fountain designed by building inspector Carl Georg Kirchner.
