The restaurant located in the palace of the main castle holds the Castle tavern (50 seats) and the Hunting room (25 seats) and the King Günther Hall (80 seats) for knightly banquets, family or company celebrations and parties. In the summer months, a shady summer restaurant invites you to linger.
In addition to traditional Thuringian dishes such as roast venison and leg of goose with red cabbage and dumplings also Crispy tarte flambée, as well as hearty stews of the day and colorful salads. A popular classic of the house is the Burgknappen plate, hearty garlic bread topped with cheese, served with ham, fried egg and a side salad.
