Buttstädt
Buttstädt
Buttstädt is the largest village in the municipality with just under 2,500 inhabitants and is located in the east of the district of Sömmerda in Thuringia.
The historic old town center with its small old alleyways, the late Gothic town hall, St. Michael's Church and the "Camposanto" cemetery on the edge is definitely worth a detour. The appearance of Buttstädter Markt is rounded off by the Michaelisbrunnen fountain in front of the town hall. "Archangel Michael", patron saint of the town, adorns it.
Most of the town's festivals are organized and staged by local associations. This allows cultural highlights to be created throughout the year. The spring festival, the traditional horse market and various festivals at the swimming pool are particularly inviting in the warmer months.
Convince yourself of the flair of this small town! Buttstädt is always worth a visit!
