This family-run, 3.5-hectare site is surrounded by forests directly on the 27 km long Hohenwartestausee lake, part of the Thuringian Sea. The site offers pitches on a meadow area with shady trees and pitches on the shore - ideal for anglers and water sports enthusiasts. For caravans and motorhomes, the pitches on the shore are terraced. Interesting for hikers - the 70 km long reservoir circular hiking trail and the international Eisenach-Budapest hiking trail pass right by the campsite. The small town of Ziegenrück with its hydropower museum and many places to stop for refreshments is within easy walking distance of the site.
