The Saalethal-Alter campsite is located on Germany's third largest reservoir, the Hohenwarte reservoir - a paradise for camping and water sports enthusiasts, anglers and nature lovers. In addition to extensive facilities and first-class service, it is above all the location that makes the site an attraction from all over the world. The meandering course of the reservoir gives it the character of a fjord, while the magnificent mountains to the left and right of the water add to the enchanting backdrop with their lush vegetation. You can have a good time here - if not swimming, then boating or on an e-bike tour, which can be started here with rental bikes. There is also plenty of space for campers, with over 30 pitches for caravans and motorhomes as well as 50 pitches for tents and 7 caravans.
