Here on the southern slope of the Thuringian Forest, in close proximity to the Thuringian Forest Biosphere Reserve lie camping & bungalow village Eger. The terraced, forest surrounded camp has next to 35 pitches for caravan, tent or motorhome over 20 suitably furnished bungalows, as well as 2 spacious Rennsteig hiking huts for families or small groups. Due to its central location and good accessibility, the place is ideally suited to explore the surrounding area from here. Numerous hiking and biking trails pass by here. In winter groomed cross-country ski trails only a skiing length away and the biosphere reserve attracts in summer with colorful mountain meadow carpets and wonderfully liberating air.
