Claes Park
Claes Park
Claes Park is the youngest park in Mühlhausen. It was created on the former Claes & Flentje factory site, which covers an area of just under 5,000 m². Sewing and knitting machines as well as bicycles once went from Mühlhausen into the world. Since 2015, a memorial stone commemorates the company founder Ernst Bernhard Claes.
Today, the park is a combination of recreational area, playground and fitness track. Visitors can keep fit with balance and equilibrium exercises as well as strength training at a total of 5 sports stations. A special eye-catcher is an approximately 3 m high climbing element in the shape of a C, which is a reminder of the history of the park area.
