Crock is a district of the municipality of Auengrund in the district of Hildburghausen in the south of Thuringia. Crock lies on the southern slope of the Thuringian Forest at 450-480 m above sea level and has around 1000 inhabitants. The church of St. Vitus stands on the 530 m high Irmelsberg to the north of the village. To the north-east, the Irmelsberg merges into the Klingeberg (677 m), which in turn is a pre-summit of 760-842 m high mountains to the north-east.
