Deesbach was first mentioned in 1465. It is a resort in the greenery of the Slate Mountains with steep forest and meadow slopes. The area is called "The Raanz", because in former times olives were traded here. In the past, Deesbach was also home to the glass and porcelain industry. For the guest the place offers plenty of fresh air, good fishing and hiking trails as well as good winter sports facilities. Deesbach has the steepest local road (22.65 %).
