German Poultry Museum
German Poultry Museum
The German Poultry Museum in the Steinbach-Hallenberg district of Viernau is unique in Europe, perhaps even worldwide. The small private museum covers 360 square meters of exhibition space. In eleven rooms, visitors can find out everything worth knowing about poultry farming. The tour is entertaining and amusing. Over 16,000 exhibits can be viewed, including numerous rarities, pictures, trophies, medals and much more on the subject of poultry farming.
The museum was founded by Günter Schneider, who has been an avid poultry breeder since childhood. It has been housed in his private home since 1995.
