German Toy Museum Sonneberg

Germany's oldest toy museum, founded in 1901, bears witness to the importance of the former world toy city and offers insights into the history of toys with over 6,000 exhibits. Dolls, steam locomotives or cars - here you will find interesting and amusing things and memories of your own childhood. At the same time, toys „en miniature“ reveal the social changes of the last 200 years. Another experience: the „Thuringian funfair“ display group. With some life-size figures made of papier-mâché, this panorama was already a visitor magnet at the 1910 World Exhibition in Brussels.
