Deaconess Motherhouse Eisenach
The Deaconess Motherhouse is a listed building complex in Eisenach. It is a place of prayer and the atmosphere of togetherness is characterized by the sisters who live in the house. The Deaconess Motherhouse is a stop on the ecumenical pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella and the Elisabeth Trail to Marburg. The house was founded in 1872 on the individual initiative of Anna von Eichel. The motherhouse has always been open to guests and pilgrims and invites them to take part in the spiritual life. The pilgrims' quarters offer simple accommodation. The sisters are available for talks and accompany pilgrims with their intercession on their further journey.
