The old choir is located directly on the city wall next to St. Margaret's Church. A staircase leads up to the apartment for up to 4 people with living room, kitchen, bathroom and guest WC on the 1st floor and the bedroom on the 2nd floor. Enjoy the fantastic panoramic view of the Dohlenstein from here and listen to the music of the Johann Walter organ from the town church.

The plastered half-timbered house was built on the remains of a castle that was destroyed in the Thuringian War of the Counts (1345). Early on, the building housed the choir of the town church. From 1547 to 1835, it also housed the girls' school.
