Domplatz is probably Erfurt's most famous square, not least because of the imposing ensemble of St. Mary's Cathedral and St. Severi's Church. Located at the foot of the Petersberg and on the edge of the old town, it offers plenty of space for all kinds of festivities and events.

The weekly market also takes place here from Monday to Saturday.

To the east and south of the cathedral square, a variety of cafés and restaurants invite you to linger and enjoy.
