The largest building next to the former manor house is the village church in Lichstedt. The church tower with battlements and high spire, comparable to the church in Schaala, indicates that it was once a fortified church. The fortified church fell into disrepair in 1863 and was rebuilt in 1867. It still looks fortified today.
