Discover the charming surroundings around the former railroad line of the mountain section of the Thuringian Oberlandbahn on a trolley ride. As you pedal along, you can enjoy the idyllic natural surroundings and come across magnificent buildings along the route. The disused railroad stations, which you can admire during the ride, exude a special charm. You will also pass various viaducts and tunnels until you finally marvel at the 115-metre-long Ziemestal Bridge in Ottergrund, whose steel construction is unique in Germany. One trip starts in Remptendorf's Lückenmühle district at the former station building. The route is 11 km long and has a gradient of 180 meters. It is a guided trolley ride, which lasts approx. 1.5 to 2 hours. You will learn many technical details about the history and buildings of the railroad line.
