Droyßiger-Zeitzer-Forst
Droyßiger-Zeitzer-Forst
The Zeitzer Forst is the largest contiguous forest area in the south of the state of Saxony-Anhalt.
The region is characterized by the "Zeitzer Forst", the Elster Valley, with wine and hop cultivation, the "Wine Route on the White Elster", which is part of the 13th Saale-Unstrut Wine Route, as well as by the course of the Elster Cycle Route and the "Rad-Acht".
Also worth discovering is the "Zuckerbahnradweg", which leads from Zeitz via Droyßig and the Wethautal to Camburg. Here you can make a stop at the old "station" in Droyßig and explore the village of Droyßig via the "Bärentatzenweg".
Numerous hiking trails invite you to hike, whether to the "Haynsburg", the forest playground Breitenbach, to the "Schlossanlage Droyßig" with bear enclosure or to the numerous "historical churches". Why don't you just relax in the lido of Kretzschau. The communities of Droyßig, Gutenborn, Kretzschau, Schnaudertal and Wetterzeube belong to the association community.
In the individual communities, cultural life and experience is shaped by the local associations. You are welcome to a variety of events.
