Former chain mill
Former chain mill
The first mention of the former chain mill dates back to 1418, when it was used for metalworking (chain mail, armor, etc.). It was later used as a grinding and yarn spinning mill. In 1864, the chain mill was the first mill in the town to be converted to steam engine drive. The building was destroyed by fire in 1894. Today there is a residential building on the former site.
