The history of the former powder mill is unknown. It was first mentioned in 1620. It was probably only used as a powder mill for a short time, as it would have been too dangerous due to its proximity to the town center. Later, the mill was used as a stamping mill for dyeing wood. The mill became municipal property in 1895. Today it is no longer preserved.
