Former bridge mill
Former bridge mill
The former Stegmühle was located in the present-day district of Mühlhausen, in Görmar, and was situated on the so-called Mühlgraben. It is most likely the mill mentioned in the document from the Mühlhausen Imperial City Archive from 1139. It was used as a grinding, oil and tanning mill.
The Stegmühle got its name from a footbridge that led across the Unstrut River at its location. In 1991, the mill building was demolished. Today, there are residential buildings on the former site.
