Former lower village mill
Former lower village mill
The so-called Untere Dorfmühle was located in Görmar, today a district of Mühlhausen. It was located close to a stone bridge over the Unstrut and was therefore also known as the stone bridge mill. It was used as a grinding mill and rolling mill. From 1802, it is listed in an overview as an oil mill. In 1883, it was converted into a wool yarn spinning mill. The site was used for industrial purposes for many years until modern times. In 1990, the buildings were still used as a warehouse. They were demolished in 1997.
