The former windmill on Mühlhäuser Stadtberg was located on today's Goetheweg. It was built in 1859 as a Dutch tower windmill and was made of bricks. It was operated as a mill until 1890. A coffee, milk and cake store opened in 1904. In the 80s of the 20th century, it was to be used as a restaurant again, but this plan was not realized. After reunification, the building fell into disrepair and was renovated and converted into a residential building in 2004. With its preservation, at least a fragment of Mühlhausen's mill history has been visibly preserved.
