Never traveling without risk - merchants and gatekeepers around 1600

Accompany the Nuremberg merchant Georg Pelzer on his journey along the old trade route and immerse yourself in the time around 1600. Gatekeeper Heinrich welcomes and checks all guests who want to pass through this gate - regardless of whether they are visiting the city on the Saale, trading here or passing through on their way to Leipzig. 

On the wings of doves, you then climb up through the ornately carpentered tower dome over the medieval town and into its history. The life of the gatekeeper is also told.

Finally, the last inhabitant of the Upper Gate introduces herself before each guest is released into the city with their own pass.
