Designed by Henry van de Velde and built in 1909/1911, the monumental memorial pavilion in honor of the physicist, entrepreneur and social reformer Ernst Abbe houses bronze reliefs by Constantin Emile Meunier and a marble herm by Max Klinger with a portrait bust of the former founder of Zeiss-Werke.
