Originally located in the park on the Ilm, a copy can now be found in the historic cemetery. The Euphrosyne monument is dedicated to the actress Christiane Becker-Neumann. She died at the age of just 19. In one of her last roles, Becker-Neumann played Euphrosyne (one of the three Graces of Antiquity) in Joseph Weigel's opera "Das Petermännchen". High on the square pedestal is a column tapering upwards with four dancing horoscopes and signs of the zodiac. The monument is crowned by an urn in the shape of a pine cone.
