The church was built around 1600. The half-timbered church tower, typical of the Eichsfeld region, was built after the tower was renovated in 1670; the larger bell in the tower dates from 1748. The three-sided gallery is particularly striking in the interior. The altar and pulpit are painted blue, which was made visible during restoration work in the 1970s.
