Half-timbered house "Brauhaus zum Löwen"
The Brauhaus zum Löwen building on Kornmarkt has a façade that is worth seeing and full of detail. The façade and elements inside hint at its former use as a pharmacy. Today's pub with its own brewery, hotel and a charming beer garden with a view of the Kornmarkt church invites you to linger.
to the story:
The main building was erected in the second half of the 16th century, but fell victim to the great fire at the Kornmarkt in 1707. It was rebuilt in its present state between 1707 and 1713. From 1780, it served as a pharmacy for almost 200 years and in the 20th century was called the "Löwen-Apotheke", the name given to today's "Brauhaus zum Löwen".
