Felchta is a district of Mühlhausen and is located on the southern edge of Mühlhausen. The district is located in the Thuringian Basin and is characterized by agriculture. Felchta was first mentioned in a document in 876 and has been part of Mühlhausen since 1994.

Felchta can be reached via a roadside cycle path from Mühlhausen. This continues to Oberorla, from where you can continue on the Unstrut-Werra cycle path towards Treffurt. The Thoma pond can be reached on foot via a local hiking trail in a westerly direction.
