Dear guests, welcome to our house! Our house is located in the most beautiful place in a very nice village. We offer two accommodations and also live and work here. Right next to our house is the Renaissance castle Ponitz with its park, the church with its famous organ and the village pond.

We are easy to reach via the A4 or the S-Bahn. Everything you need to buy, such as food or gasoline, is available in Meerane, just around the corner. We also have a parking lot.

The accommodation

The apartment is at ground level and consists of three rooms in the former mill building. The windows look out over the pond to the former smithy. The apartment can be used by 2, 3 or, if necessary, 4 people. In the living room there is a sleeping gallery with a double bed and, if needed, we can put a third bed there. Under the gallery there is a bed for a fourth person. We have cribs for small and very small children. The kitchen has everything you need except an oven (stove only). There is no television (!), but the internet works well. The bathroom has a shower, hairdryer and towels.

The house is very close to the highway and also to the B93. There is an S-Bahn connection to Leipzig/Halle airport. Altenburg, Gera or Zwickau can be reached within 20 minutes, Chemnitz, Leipzig or Jena in about 45 minutes. Erfurt and Dresden are both an hour away. We are located right in the middle of both cities.

It is a very quiet place. It is extremely quiet at night.

Access for guests

The apartment is at ground level with a view of the pond. It is self-contained. No living space has to be shared with other guests. Rooms for waste disposal and storage rooms for bicycles or baby carriages are available, but are shared with other guests.

Guests who arrive very late (or when we are not supposed to be here) can check in themselves using a key box.

Further important notes

Our accommodation is not for fitters. It is a nice vacation apartment for families or other guests. All beds are in one room. If someone still needs a separate room, you can also book our other listing (Ferienzimmer am Renaissanceschloss Ponitz) (as long as available).

The beds are on a gallery. You have to climb up to sleep! And despite the railings, parents must of course keep an eye on their children.

There is no TV, but the internet is usually fine.

We also have bicycles for guests to explore the area.
