The Blaue Haus in Schmalkalden welcomes you to its spacious vacation apartment. It offers space for family gatherings or time together with friends and is located in a villa that is over 100 years old.
The residence is located in a quiet residential area, on a south-facing slope slightly above the town.

You can reach the town center on foot in approx. 12 minutes. Schmalkalden, a historic half-timbered town, is a gem south of the Rennsteig. It is located between Meiningen and Eisenach, Erfurt is approx. 60 km to the north.

In Schmalkalden, you can encounter traces of the Middle Ages or trace the significance of the Reformation and Luther's work. Wilhelmsburg Castle invites you with its Renaissance complex and exhibitions. In the immediate vicinity, you can enjoy the beautiful nature of the Thuringian Forest directly from your vacation apartment. Whether tourist hiking destinations, winter sports resorts, swimming pools, caves, sea aquariums or summer toboggan runs - you can easily reach many places of adventure within a radius of approx. 25 km.

The 110 m² apartment is sunny and very spacious. It has a large kitchen-living room, a large bed-sitting room, 3 further separate bedrooms, 2 showers each with WC and a hallway. The sunny, east-facing terrace with its wonderful view offers a good place to linger and is also the entrance to the apartment.
All rooms are tastefully furnished, old style elements meet modernity. In the apartment you will find TV, free WiFi and a digital radio for your entertainment. The kitchen with its extensive equipment invites you to cook and eat in a cozy atmosphere. Sustainability is also taken into account in the vacation apartment. A modern pellet stove provides heat to all rooms from the eat-in kitchen. In winter, the crackling open fire conjures up a cozy atmosphere. Enjoy the beautiful views from all rooms. The view over the town with the castle and church towers, the mountain view or the view of the garden is impressive at any time of year. Families with children and/or grandchildren are welcome. Crib, high chair, games etc. are available.
