The 3-sided courtyard was built in 1830 and has been in the family ever since. The builder Johann Jacob Ludwig Geist modeled the house on a Weimar town villa. The dwelling has been originally restored with clay and wood, some amenities such as a bathroom have of course been added. The courtyard offers enough space to linger, barbecue and play table tennis. The farm is located in the historic heart of Bad Berka and in the middle of a wonderful forest area with countless springs (some recognized as healing springs). In the immediate vicinity you will find the old brewery, Oha ice cream parlor and some supermarkets. The bus and train connections to Erfurt and Weimar are about 300m away. You will find a parking lot in front of the house or on one of the parking lots in the city center. A golf course is also less than 4 km away. The historic Bad Berka outdoor pool is within easy walking distance. Bad Berka is a fantastic place for hikers and cyclists.
